As such, I have been trying to\u00a0convince my programmers in Ukraine (and Romania) to move to Cabarete. The setting and quality of life\u00a0are extraordinary in Cabarete. Besides, I would much rather fly to Cabarete for in person meetings and\u00a0have everyone on New York\u2019s time zone, rather than have to deal with a 7 hour time difference and\u00a0flying 11 hours on Ukrainian Airlines several times a year.<\/p>\n<p>To help sway them, I decided to build a really contemporary office center whose design is\u00a0inspired by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wework.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WeWork<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neuehouse.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neuehouse<\/a>, but adapted for the\u00a0Caribbean and integrated in nature. The idea is not only to house the developers for my projects, but\u00a0also to offer great co-working space in Cabarete open to all entrepreneurs around the world. Living in Cabarete can cost as little as $1500 per month with everything included. This is a great combination for entrepreneurs who are short on cash and want to be close to New York for potential meetings with investors and clients.<\/p>\n<p>The project is called Silicon Cabarete\u00a0and is part of a playground I am\u00a0building at La Boca.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-5584\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fabricegrinda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/e3ec746ecb6e54a4da593058e0c006a6-600x330.jpg\" alt=\"DO_FabricelandGR_9200_Ext_003_140701_01c_ts\" width=\"600\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-5585\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fabricegrinda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/8e1e077b46b512e9fec305b5818982ff-600x330.jpg\" alt=\"DO_FabricelandGR_9300_Office_001_140701_01d_ts\" width=\"600\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sadly things in the offline world don\u2019t move nearly as fast as in the online world. I bought the land two\u00a0years ago and am still impatiently waiting for the permits. As entrepreneurs we know that we don\u2019t start\u00a0with the final product, but rather build an MVP (minimum viable product) and launch an alpha, then\u00a0beta product. I decided to do the same here and to already start the process of moving programmers\u00a0here in more a humble setting.<\/p>\n<p>Quite appropriately, I transformed the garage at Embocca where I am staying in Cabarete into a small\u00a0open space.
